S4 (FT. Hyuna)- She Is My Girl (info ver.) Reaction/Review

ANNYEONG
Hello my lovelies! I know...It's been over a month since I did a review let alone a reaction video. I have several in line that I will be doing after the 25th of December. But don't be surprised that near the end of January that I won't be doing as many videos...At least for me that is when I am returning to Uni and doing some more school work!

I'm going for my Master's degree in English. Just in case you wanted to know. Ha-ha ^.^

Anyways on with the Review!

So As most of you know, if I do a reaction to a group that I am not familiar with I just react to them and their music without any prior knowledge . I feel that I have a more honest reaction (mostly I'm not fingerling over just one member ha-ha). So I have to say S4 was impressive. Not quite EXO impressive, but impressive none the less.

BY THE WAY SIDE NOTE! I just want to thank all of most faithful viewers and subscribers from all of my sites. I know that I am not the best updater but I still want to thank you for sticking with me and showing some love to this lowly reviewer. SARANGHAEYO!

Okay, I swear I won't divert again. This post is kind of erratic since my thoughts are going a hundred different ways.

Thanks to timun Suri from YouTube I was able to put faces to names (and vice versa). I have to say though I spaz-zed out a little on Firly (Leader), at the time it was muscle man, but seriously he has such charisma it was hard not to be drawn in and appreciate his muscles--I mean him. Then there is Alif, the youngest (or as I called him red-head), in a way he reminds me of Gikwang from B2ST. Maybe it's the dark skin or just the way he carries himself. I have no idea but those two are the ones who drew me in initially. Then JeJe (blonde) not sure how I felt/feel about him. He has a great voice. I just kind feel bad for him. At one point in time you never saw him behind Firly when they were dancing. I like him though. And then Princey or Arthur; mother of god...Than man is a bias list ruiner. At least for me he is. I swear that I can't get over him. i don't even know what it is but just something really changes when I see him singing he doesn't look (on first impressions mind you) like he has that 'manly' of a voice but DANG!

Hmm I think I fan-girled a little bit too much there. Moving on. I liked the set it was simple and worked for them since there was mainly dancing (which I LOVED), but in a way though it looks like an S.M. Ent. room for SJ (Super Junior). Either way it fit the group. The outfits I was okay with. I'm a pretty simple person so these outfits worked together. Sorry this was a sort section, :(.

Now, about Hyuna...I love her to death. However...what the heck was she saying?! I couldn't tell what that was. I could understand Firly just fine...but Hyuna...I couldn't understand at all. But I liked how she fit in there. :)

I have listened to this song over and over again. All of you are going to get me in trouble with all this new music. lol. That tells you how much I like it. If I only liked the song I would not play it over 50 times. That's all there is too it. All in all I really like this group and I will be checking out more of their stuff. If you missed my reaction to the video check below or right here -------------->

Sorry if the audio seems a little bit off or soft. I decided to try out a different camera and I will not be using that one again. I almost have enough saved for a better camera so just bear with me. :) Anyways y'all know what to do. Hit that +1 and share my posts or hit that follow button on my blog, Twitter, or YouTube. If you want to check out my Drama Reviews check out the new site!

Anyeong hi jumuseyo! Goodnight y'all!

SMASH- Rindu Ini Review

Now if only I knew which name went to who...
Hey everyone! I finally have a bit of time to go over SMASH's song that I've done recently...RINDU Ini! If you missed it from my YouTube Channel check out the video below.
When I was asked to review their  music I was a little curious. I know about the Korean SMASH, so I think that I got confused at who I was reviewing. If it's a new group I try not to learn anything about them until after I've heard the song. It's worked pretty well for me. It doesn't work all of the time but most of the time I'd like to think that it's a true reaction to them.

I still don't know who is who, but I am trying, I just don't have the time to sit down and try to figure out who is who. I will persevere!

Onto the video!

Honestly, I didn't know what to expect when I watched the video. Maybe I'm a little biased because of K-pop with some of their sounds or J-pops wild costumes (some not all are like this) but still. I really liked what I heard. It was soft but not. I know that probably doesn't make a tiny bit of sense but bear with me. What I mean by soft but not, is that it has that soft feeling to it, and by not I mean that it makes you want to dance with it. I really wish that I could understand what it says. But still a good song. Who is it with the shiny blue jacket!? I like him but the jacket was just too much for me...Everyone else had fairly normal clothing and then BAM! here come blue with the bling.

I may not have shown it but I was slightly fan-girling inside when I saw them in the water. They all looked pretty good....Don't look the post like that. I'm an adult and I can look at them and appreciate their attractiveness. Though one of them looked way to innocent to be there. Maybe not innocent, maybe shy is the better word? Either way he just seemed like an awkward turtle. It was cute.  All in all I loved the song. I'm rating it a 4 out of 5 stars

I may not know their names or what the song is about. But I really enjoyed listening to it. I can't guarantee that I will know all of their names by the next time I react to their videos but I will have some of them down. I think I have Morgan, Rangga (is he the shy one?), and Reza down...But I'm not completely sure to be quite honest. If the names on the picture are in order I'll at least learn their faces and names ^^.

Anyway thanks for stopping by to read this review it makes me so happy to 'see' each and every one of you. Don't forget to follow me here on the blog just go to the home page and click the g+1 button. Also go to my youtube channel and Subscribe to catch all of the videos!

Agnes Monica- Walk MV Review

ANNYEONG!
Hey everyone! I know in my videos I said that I was posting the review on the same day but hey a girls gotta sleep sometime. Ha-ha. On a more personal note. I am so happy that you all take the time to come and read about my opinion of a Music Video. It just warms my heart to see that you enjoy what I think. So thank you so much.

I would like to think that my videos are getting a little bit better. Honestly I kind of wish that I had more reactions. But I'm a quiet person...sort of. I'm not explosive as some of the other you tubers out there. I want to take the the time to take everything in...Does that make sense? I've had a few emails about my non-facial expression during the music video. I hope that answers your questions on that. If not well...I can try to change but, in all honesty, I get so wrapped up in the video that I forget to react ha-ha.

Okay now onto the Music Video!

Honestly I wasn't as impressed with the video as I was with Paralyzed or Tok Ada Logika. I don't know. The music video didn't seem to make a big impression on me. I liked a few things but that wasn't enough for me to actually love the video itself. NOW DON'T YELL AT ME!

I LOVE the song! It's just the video that I'm not so pumped up about. I always think that Agnes is one of the prettiest women I have ever seen. But some of her clothing choices this time weren't all that great. Maybe it's because I'm a girl but I just wasn't to fond of them at all.

Besides the song I actually liked the dancers with the colored dust/chalk/dirt (whatever it was). I thought that, that was really unique. Oh yeah you know what I just realized...why I did't before I will never understand...but the song is in ENGLISH! That just blew my mind! How Could I not realize that it was in English? Seriously?!

If I had to rate the video I would give it 3 stars. It was ok. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great.

If you missed my YouTube reaction watch it below.

Ailee- Heaven (Japanese Ver.) Reaction/review

ANNYEONG!
Hey everyone guess what!

I'm back with a new music video reaction/review! Today is Ailee's Heaven (Japanese Version). Now, I'm just assuming here, most of you have seen the original Korean version; right?  If not check it out here:

This is the one we all see and probably sing to on our iPods/ mp3 players. I loved this one because one it had Gikwang in it. He's such a cutie! But also because you can see her strong vocals. This video seems to fit the song way better than the Japanese version. That's not to say that I hate or dislike the Japanese version. That's not what I am saying at all. I just think that in the Japanese version her vocals aren't as strong. I feel as if she turned the volume down on her voice one day and just forgot to turn it back on. It's okay Ailee it happens to all of us.

The entire video just seemed really muted for me. And like I said in my reaction it didn't really draw any real emotions from me like the original did. The sets were pretty and Ailee looked amazing like usual but the whole thing together didn't really do much for me in the long run. In the original I felt like crying as the video progressed. This one was just a few glimpses of a man that could or could not have been some one she missed. It had a bit of mystery: Why was she in the basement? Was she in a basement; cause that is what it looked like? Or was she in their loft?

So many questions not enough answers. I love Ailee as a singer. She is amazing! But this was not one of her best times. All in all I give her 3.5 Stars. The video was muted and it was pretty but it didn't bring on all that many emotions that could have been brought to the table with this version.

Agnes Monica "Tak Ada Logika" Music Video Reaction/Review

ANNYEONG
Hey everyone I've done it again. I've just reacted to "Tak Ada Logika." I have to say the more that I see from her, the more I really like her. This time though I caught one of my room mates. WELL, it's more like I asked and then kinda turned the camera on her. I'm so evil...MUaHAHAHA. It goes along with the Halloween feeling, right?

Onto the video!

The video was good. It wasn't great. I liked the song though. It's really catchy. Like my roommate said this song kind of reminds us of Shakira with the sound, but also with a mix of Rihanna and Nelly furtado.  Also thought, that is was pretty awesome that the lyrics were on the screen. Even though I had no idea what they were saying I could kind of follow along with the Chorus if I wanted to.

The song it self is really catchy. As I'm typing this I am listening to it and I'm resisting the urge to continue to dance like a dork.  The costumes except for the blue one near the end were really practical. Nothing was too over the top like in Paralyzed (even thought that wasn't even really over the top except for her hair). It seemed like she was struggling with something/ someone throughout the video. I'm probably going to have to go on a hunt for an english translation to find out the meaning of the song.

The dancing was on point in this song. It's always nice to see the artist actually dancing in their videos. Unlike most American artists who do the bare minimum of dancing and its usually just the "sexy" part. I'm putting sexy very loosely because I don't think it looks that good. Anyways, with Agnes it feels that she is putting a lot of pride into her videos and doing the her best to make them well. I think that from all the videos that I've watched from Kpop, Jpop, and so on. Her's feel the most realistic emotion wise. Does that makes sense? I mean the songs always feel raw with emotion that is being put into it.

All in all, I love the song. I like the video. I love Agnes Monica. Everything was good and I can find something to get up to the morning and just get energized from. I look forward to checking out more songs by her in the near future.

(On a side note @AGNESMOquenn on twitter re-tweeted one of my posts! :D I was so freaking excited. It wasn't a super impressive post or anything just that I was jamming out to paralyzed while waiting for math class to start. But STILL. It's just the principal of the thing. :) Just thought I would share that with all of you lovely readers. )

Block B- Very Good Music Video Review

ANNYEONG!
Hey everyone! How are you this fine evening? Me? Well, I'm doing....very, very GOOOOOOOOOOOD! Ha-ha. That's right if you hadn't seen the title then I bet you can guess what I can't seem to get out of my head... that's right! Block B's 'Very Good'

Check out the Music video below!

My god, men! They are officially back everyone! When I heard that Block-toBer was hear I (literally) was jumping around in joy. My room-mate and friends had all gotten the song and watched the video before I had a chance to...They are that on top of things people! I'm not joking, I blinked and they had everything but a poster and physical album.

Anyways, so before I watched the MV I did listen to the song and it was amazing. Zico and his voice drove me nuts! Gah, I love that man, and P.O. like my friend said: "He could definitely be in a scream-o band with no problems and everyone would still love that man." Okay I changed the last part cause it was boy...but he is no longer a boy with that voice.

Onto the video!

Instantly there is Zico's voice (sigh) and then we hear B-bomb and his amazingness. :) Zico is like pulling a G-Dragon with his costume changes. I mean with the tattoos and fur in one scene to the crush velvet suit in another...to the Marilyn Manson-esque (this one kind of freaked me out) vision in another. Not to say that I didn't like; heck, I loved it, it was just kind of weird to see it to be quite honest with you. Of course P.O. comes up soon after and....why is he wearing lipstick and sparkly green shoes? Did you see the hip thrusts!? He is really trying to kill all of us BBCs. They all are.

I'm starting to go off into major fangirl mode...must resist...

Then there's Jaehyo....that derp and his perfect face. It was funny to see him spit out his drink though...and then get beat up by the girl who was like "Yeah I know what you saw...I'm going to kick your butt. ;P"

The Ukwon...You gorgeous kitty you. I have to say that the mask, spiked jacket, and lip rings....Look absolutely amazing on you...Why do you have to be taken?! Ha-ha he has the best expressions during the 'acting' bit of the MV. When the dog came after him I literally thought of a little kid with their hand in a cookie jar. I love everyone's voices and Taeil I can't really take him seriously because of an english intro that he did...It was too adorable. But he has a great voice and in the MV (I think) he was the one to put TNT around the vault door. Either way he's one of my favorite singers. He just puts EVERYTHING into his singing.

OH! I forgot that Zico pulled a Miley...No not the tweaking...That would be rather weird if he did that...No, the licking of objects...He licked a Red Skull...And Kyung was on a table, his head on a plate, and he was sitting on two burly men (? Should we be worried about that last one?) Then of course they have everyone dancing like crazy at the end and tossing the TNT around like a hot potato. Why is Zico on the Burley man's back (?????) I have no idea. But all in all. I loved this video. I know most of this was just gushing over then and being really glad that they are back. I think that going to Seven Seasons was a really good move for them and they are back; It's going to be a great year (well what's left of it).

Check out my reaction to the video below, also feel free to check out my YouTube account and subscribe for more reviews; also leave comments letting me know what you think and what you want me to check out next!

Agnes Monica - "Paralyzed" Reaction

ANNYEONG!
Thanks to Areif Bachtiar on YouTube I think that I've found a new person to listen to! I haven't listened to a lot of Indonesian pop so this was a first and let me say that I was not disappointed at all. So let's get on with the review shall we?

I have yet to look up the english translation for the song but so far I was drawn in with the openning of the video. I see a woman with amazing shoes and bright *** red hair. That got me intrigued with what was going on. I mean the video is a little weird but not in a bad way. I was a little freaked out by the zebra man but he just looked odd. Ha-ha. The video itself was a little avant-garde with some of the costumes and that is something that I usually only see in most J-pop songs. But it wasn't over the top crazy costumes for the entire video. Agnes gave off a great vide while she dance and even with her bright red hair it didn't draw away from her music.

I was glad to see so stylish hip-hop-esque clothes for dancing. I've said in my video that Agnes kind of reminds me of both BoA and Nelly Furtado. Both with like styles from BoA's 'Girls on Top,' and Nelly Furtado's 'Maneater.' I'm not even talking about the music sound just the looks and her remind me of them. All in all I love the song. Some of the props I was a little weirded out by but I guess that kind of goes along with the avant-garde, circus-y feel.

Block B 'Be The Light' MV Reaction

ANNYEONG ANNYEONG!
Hey everyone long time no review! Ha-ha just kidding. I'm starting to get a little more time in between classes so I was try my best to keep up with your requests. But this time I am reviewing Block B' "Be the Light." I was so happy to hear the Block-tober was finally here! I was seriously waiting for them to come back and come back they did.

What I love about Be the Light is the fact that you can hear everyone singing. Hearing everyone sing just shows how much they've grown over time. I was really glad to see Zico! (I f you couldn't guess he is my absolute favorite <3), anyways, this song is really nice. The sound is something different but not in a bad way from their old songs. It has a classier feel to it.

Why is it alway U-kwon that gets beaten up? I mean really? In any fight scene it's alway him that gets kicked or hit. Gotta say though, he is still looking mighty fine. Wow Taeil I didm't think that he could get any better at singing but he proved me wrong. Have I mentioned P.O. yet? No? MY GOD MAKNAE! I had almost forgotten how deep his voice is...I absolutely love it!

Now in my reaction video I really didn't talk about what I thought of the meaning of the song. I still don't know what it truly means as I am writing this post. I probably should look up the english translation. Besides that the woman was really pretty. I was kind of lost as to what she was to the video But I'm sure that I will find out soon enough. The video will be posted below if you want to check it out.

JYJ Only One MV Reaction

ANNYEONG!

Annyeong everyone. Yes I am back with a new reaction! It was made by:
narutofanits94
Sorry about the fact that I am not super loud in this one. It was late at night and I didn't want to wake up my room mates. Oh by the way...What do you guys think of me doing a room mate edition? Having them react to a few videos with me? Let me know in a comment here or on my youtube page.

On to the review!

In all honestly...I really loved this video. I love JYJ a lot. Not as much as some of the people I know but  they are absolutely adorable. I thought that the video was well done and how they included a more diverse culture of 'videos' in their own video. It was really nice and it did show that they were only one. They joined everyone together to make a great video. It was nice to see a light hearted video for once and one not about heart break and rebelling against society. It was a good feeling video that made me smile.

I know that this is a really short review but I don't really have anything bad to say about it. It's a little shocking isn't. I can guarantee that 90% of the videos that I watch I can find something that I don't like about them. I mean I am literally tearing them apart in my mind hence why my reactions aren't so over the top.

But that's it for this review remember to comment and like and follow me for more reviews!

New Site

Hey everyone.

I know I'm not doing a great job of running this site. I keep forgetting and with school it's just so hectic. I will still be posting to this site but I think that this will mainly be about Kpop videos. I have another site that I will be moving the drama reviews to.

www.worlddramagirl.weebly.com

It has a little bit different set up but I'm still trying to play with it. I would be ever so greatful if everyone when they visit please leave a comment in the blog area or contact me through the contact page, letting me know what you think about it or which site you like better. :) It would be very helpful. Even if it's just to say you hate it. Any feedback is welcomed at  this point in time

Also the new drama review post is on the new site as well :).

K-drama Wednesday: HUNGRY!

ANNYEONG! ANNYEONG!

Hey everyone! I’ve started a new Drama…One I wasn’t even really going to start to be quite honest with you. The only reason I did was because of Mukai, Osamu. I saw him in Atashinchi no Danshi and I just fell in love with him! : D
Having said that let’s move onto the review!

The first episode we meet our main character: Eisuke, played by Osamu; he is the son of a French Cuisine Chef and an Artist. We also meet his band mates: Tsuyoshi and Kenta; played by Kawabata Kaname and Tsukamoto Takashi; who are helping him out with opening up his restaurant: le petit Chou.

We also meet the antagonist of the whole story. He used to go to the restaurant when Eisuke’s mother was still alive. But he deceived Eisuke’s father out of the restaurant and it’s staff…thus kicking them out. (What!?)

WE meet Chie a college student who loves food and has a bit of a fantasy thought about love. She first meets Eisuke when he was posting up sighs for the reopening of le petit Chou. He comes off fairly rude (even if he doesn’t think so) and kind of pisses her off. Later a bunch of his old band buddies come in for dinner.

Earlier there had been a mishap in the kitchen so Eisuke had to go and get more vegetables but he didn’t have enough money to pay for what he really needed. On the way home he spots some delicious looking tomatoes and jumps at the chance to buy them…it turns out that Chie’s family owns them.

Going back to opening night. Everyone is waiting a long time. But Eisuke is still cooking. When they begin to leave he says he can “give back their time.” If he couldn’t he would get on his hands and knees to apologize. (I wouldn’t even go that far for a customer…but I have to remember that this is a drama ha-ha). Let’s just say that it went really well.

Sadly though that was the most customers they had for a week passed by and there were no customers.

The next episode is where we learn more about the hectic schedule that Eisuke is going through. He maybe gets two hours of sleep. He’s up at 7:30 am and doesn’t get home to shower till about 4am…I already know I’m not going to like the girlfriend later and I am already shipping Chie and Eisuke but it’s kind of nice that she ended up going to see him. Though we do see how much this (starting a restaurant) is bothering her, when she is at work and she states she wished he stayed a musician…Look lady family comes first and you aren’t family!

Anyways the episode flowed really well. Eisuke went to go and get a loan but because there is no real plan for the restaurant they can’t loan him anything. He saw a TV while he was waiting and said that a big disturbance will change everything and that cute things will bring him luck. Next scene we see him outside his mom’s old place and handling a pick…thing…I really don’t know what that was. I want to say that it’s kind of like a cabbage head-doll-thingy-ma-bob. Anyways Antagonist dude who I don’t care to remember his name (: P) invites Eisuke to eat at his restaurant. So, of course, Eisuke drags along Kenta and Tsuyoshi.

This scene didn’t really do much for me. I mean it was all subtle reactions to the food and presentation. But I found it funny that Tsuyohsi ended up just ordering a beer instead of wine. I felt bad for one of the sous chefs. The older one. He seemed genuinely shocked to see the ‘young master’ and the chef actually hid from him! Ha-ha-ha! That was too funny. But in the end rain came and brought in a ‘normal’ customer. At first everyone was really nervous but once they settled down everything went smoothly. The couple was just breaking up when they entered but ended keeping a relationship because of the food.

Mitsuko…. I don’t even know what to say about her. At first when I saw her in the first episode I thought she looked like one of those beetles you find under a rock. She was a pastry-chef- in- training. But now she’s waiting tables…She has so many accidents when she’s nervous but that is what makes is kind of endearing. She’s not my favorite character but she’s one that I definitely won’t be forgetting.

Finally everyone has gone home and Eisuke is calling Maria. He apologizes and she repeats 2x that she is angry…BUT! She’s there to scold him. They get all huggy and she says he smells like something delicious. They hear a clang and they find Taku (Miura Shohei) laying on the kitchen floor. He had been released from jail that day and somehow found the restaurant. He was all beaten up and laughed when he saw the two of them. He asked if they were getting all lovey-dovey there before promptly passing out scaring the begeezus out of the two.

Okay that was more of a recap of the two episodes…now the real review.

In all honestly I’m only two episodes in and so far, I’m loving the drama. Osamu is just hilarious and Miori (Chie) is so bubble and adorable that I just want to squish her with hugs. But can we go back to Osamu for a second?

HOT STEAMY SHOWER SCENE RIGHT OFF THE BAT! Ugh! This drama drew me in with just that fact alone. I mean I may just be fan-girl-ing but I can’t help it. I think most women like a scene with the hot main character showering? Am I right ladies? I know most guys won’t appreciate that part of the scene: They’ll probably be drooling over Maria who is cooking in the kitchen. ^.~

The only thing that I don’t really like about the drama is that both Maria and Aso are kind of expressionless/…mainly Aso…I don’t know why but that really seems to be bugging me. I mean if your going to end being a villain…can I get a little more emotion? I mean Maria is doing okay but I don’t know I guess Korean Dramas kind of spoiled me in that department.

Anyway back to reviewing. I really like the set for le petit Chou, I actually think that, that was a better location than the house. I mean it’s a clean slate. You can change things and not have to worry about keeping it EXACTLY like mama did. He is different so the feeling is different. He has the loosey-goosey attitude while his mother was more straight and narrow. But he was still able to keep up his skills in the kitchen. I mean wouldn’t you think that they would have been a little more rusty than what they were? I know mine would have been…I would have cut myself the very first day.

Maybe he practiced when he was in the band; though, I highly doubt if from the looks of the flashbacks.

That’s another thing I don’t like about the drama. I mean I get the flashbacks but for me they seem really random. It would have made a little more sense if we saw the one with Taku playing after Tsuyoshi had wondered what he was doing. Cause I know some people (like me) didn’t pay attention when his name was apparently mentioned in a previous flashback. Could you at least change the coloring a little bit when you go to a flashback scene? If I hadn’t notice Osamu’s red hair I would have thought that, that was going on in the present. But hey that’s just me.

Beginning of 3. We learn more about Taku and his relationship with the band and how he came to be sneaking into Eisuke’s kitchen. It turns out that after leaving the band after a music slump he went to another band…who got busted for drug abuse the day he showed up to meet them. He has such bad luck! After clearing up the mix up he had a job as a host. Because of his charismatic personality and good looks he gained a lot of customers. As luck would have it though, he pissed off the other hosts with his success and they beat him up with the lame saying that he “broke a rule.”

So Taku exclaims the next day that while the others aren’t going to have bright futures he is. So he’ll work there until he finds another band. But all three had told him to get lost.

You could see that he was hurt but it was quickly covered up…but I think Eisuke noticed it. He ended up leaving and Chie said she had to leave as well and followed him. This is where she learns that he was in a band (well just a little before) but she learns that he had fans. She then tells Taku how at first she didn’t like Eisuke but she fell in love with his cooking.

Taku ends up just volunteering at the restaurant and Eisuke see’s how well he is with the customers. Earlier that day we learn that an actress that used to visit the restaurant was going to show up but she doesn’t go to Aso’s restaurant she ends up going to Eisuke’s because of the name. Maria shows up with the loan manager that turned down Eisuke in the previous episodes. There are a bunch of new faces and Eisuke and the group are happy. The menu is changing and even Eisuke is trying to change. (Yes I know I’m skipping around a bit but this is what pops into my head…I can’t remember everything in the same order all the time, ne?)

In the end the actress says that while his cooking is unrefined he has potential. And she says this at Aso’s restaurant which gets him steamed up so much that he hits a wall. Eisuke learns from the actress the night she left that his mother was making a recipie card for him. And that when she was opening her own restaurant that she also had worries.

The following day Eisuke is at Chie’s house with home made gruel/porriage. It was the same thing his mother made for him when he was sick. He tries to feed her but Chie refuses and says she’ll do it herself but ends up burning herself. Eisuke told her that he’s no good at smiling but he found someone that is better at it than him. (Meaning Taku…Who was hired at the restaurant and is living with Eisuke and his father for free). He takes the food from her and blows on it and feeds her. (she knew she was going to fall even more for him if she kept eating his food). He also got an idea for a new special from her: Onion grain soup. But as a foreshadowing to the fourth he has an idea that this onion this time would make him cry.

Ep 4

We start with maria and Eisuke eating at a macrobiotics restaunt and when Eisuke goes to pay for he is embarrassed when his card was returned to him. Maria then scolds him saying that a restaurant is a place for a meal and she doesn’t want her boyfriend working for one (gosh I really don’t like her). So Eisuke feels down about that thinking that she was on his side.

It’s getting closer to pay day and Eisuke is struggling to figure out how he is going pay everyone. They figure out all of the roles and Eisuke sends taku to the farm to help out. Taku gets scolded by Chie because he is being ungrateful to the work he is going to be doing.

In a few days Eisuke will be turning 30 years old. But on top of that he is worrying about money so he takes a part time job. Aso randomly pops up and gives him some classical music and a blue lobster but if the dish isn’t good he has to pay him back for everything (those lobsters aren’t cheap). Eisuke’s arms are hurting from his part time job. Chie is outside of the restaurant talking to nana about how she could get him to come over to her home without being obvious. She apologizes to Taku about going off on him and he face lights up as he ushers her to a seat.

The lobster that Aso gave them disappeared! The ran around looking all over for it when they found it outside. Taku comes out and says there’s a problem. A grandma and her grand-daughter came in. The grand-daughter was hoping that her grandmother could have to lobster in order to gain some of her lively hood back. After some debat Eisuke decides to make it for her. HE changes the original recipie to fit the story and the granny loves it.

Aso comes in only to find out that he wasn’t getting the lobster he wanted. Eisuke apologizes and gives him a shrimp dish. Aso is still annoyed and says he was will be expecting full payment for all 11 lobsters. Eisuke later on pay day gets in a fight with Kenta about the wages. And Maria come in to see him and patches him up…They’re sitting at the park when she says that they need to take a break. What they both want just aren’t matching up, she gives him his birthday present and leaves.

He falls asleep on the bench is rudely awoken by Chie screaming at him not to die and then heads to the restaurant where the others scold him about not telling them about his part time job. His father had found the dirty clothes and his resume. Tsuyoshi hands him a bear and then the others spray him with theirs wishing him a happy birthday.

Aso is at his restaurant and looking up the comments looks like the lobster fest was a success. He then grabs the food he was given by Eisuke and takes a bite. This is when he was thrown back to his childhood. He just didn’t understand what was happening.

Honestly these two episodes were really good compared to the first two. I was happy to see more facial emotion from Aso and Maria. You can see how maria is struggling to accept what Eisuke is trying to do, and I can finally see something on Aso’s face!!! I was also impressed with Miura’s acting. I love him as an actor but he really shows both sides of the character. The younger selfish kid and the caring individual who really loves his friends/bandmates (to some extent).  I don’t really have anything bad to say about this drama. Other than I still don’t like Aso but he is actually kind of growing on me.

In all honesty 5-11 I kind of sped through. They were like blurs to me that’s how fast I went through them. But I remember them having to close up shop because the landlord was divorcing and his wife (soon to be ex) couldn’t tell if the food was good or not. She was going to make the warehouse into an apartment complex. Chie was dating tako, trying to get over Eisuke (it wasn’t working.) They proved to the landlady that they did have people who cared for them because Chie had contacted all of their past and present customers to inform them of what was going on. So they got to keep the restraint. Later Aso basically gave Eisuke a offer on a silver platter. He would go and study in france and he would allow him to keep (mostly work at the restaurant with the old name. He would also hire everyone who was there and keep them as staff until he returned. Well he ended up not going and causing Aso to hate him (even though he loved him). Maria and Eisuke were still dating. When they had the opening of the restaurant under the new name Hungry!

I’m going to be nice and not tell you what happens at the end xD but It was adorable.

I actually really loved this drama. Unlike most I felt that the ending was completely appropriate and there were no loose ends that needed to be wraped up. It does leave enough room to where if they wanted to they could continue on with a second season. Osamu is gorgeous. I can’t believe that I missed his acting before! Compared to Atashinchi no Danshi I think that he fit this type of role a whole lot better. For some reason it felt more natural. Not that it didn’t feel that way before but since this was mostly about him, it was more so in my opinion.

5 out of 5 for this drama on everything!

I did have some complaints about Maria in the beginning. Her facial expressions were really weak and I couldn’t really stand a passive girl like that. Maybe I was spoiled by all the Korean dramas that I watched. She felt like a lifeless doll…listless…But the more I saw her in the show she got better…not much, but a little better.

Atashinchi no Danshi Review

Drama Review Wednesday!
So first off...WELCOME TO DRW (Drama Review Wednesday)! This is the first of many to come ^^ Now let's get down to business: reviewing Atashinchi no Danshi.

So when I first saw this in a Top 10 Japanese Drama on Youtube. So I went and checked it out. I wasn't all that interested. I mean the picture drew me in a little but not all of the way. So, when I read the summary...I still wasn't impressed. But several of my friends who had watched it before said that it was really good. I bit the bullet and pressed play on Episode one....

To say I was shocked was an understatement ha-ha. I saw Maki with this hair and I couldn't stop laughing. I was honestly a little scared but the shock factor was nice. Especially when she entered the cafe.
I could't help but laugh at the scene where she is being chased in the showers by the goons. It was just too funny. That whole scene was just perfect. But moving on. All in all I loved this drama. I kind of got stale in the middle though. It was a repeated pattern. Someone in the house would tell her to leave she would and she would be homeless again before talking to the family friend and then going back to the house on the same day. Or going to the internet cafe and having all of her 'friends' find out more information on her 'sons' so that she could fix them.

And Fix them she did. She got one of them out of his room that he locked himself into. She helped out Osamu with his son and Takeru when he was taken by a different set of goons. She's helped each and everyone one of them. The one thing that made me cringe overtime was the little boys' acting...I don't know if it was on purpose because he was supposed to be a genius and didn't know how to socialize or what but seriously his acting was horrible!

The gadgets were pretty cool though most of them seemed to be really useless but also designed for every situation that came up. Near the end though it was started to get pretty cheesy...like the new power-ranger cheesy (not the original PRs but the new ones). I don't find it to shocking that Maki ended up being half sister to Fuu and daughter to Shinzo...I can honestly say I saw that coming. But how the heck did Fuu seem to know anything and how could he seem to know before the letter? Another thing...The others saw and read the letter....HOW DID THEY NOT KNOW!? I seems just like a giant plot hole for me...especially with the 'new' president...He used to just dress in suits but where the heck did he get teh costume for the last episode? I mean, I'm used to over the top for a J Drama but this/that....I don't even know...The cape didn't bother me but it was the glasses...Why did he even wear them in the first place? He seemed like he could see just fine without them; and he wasn't bad looking when he had them off.

Honestly I love J-Dramas...but they kind of have a draw back...Usually they're only about 11 episodes on average. So when you finally have some romance brewing between your characters it always (well almost) falls short of what you think and you're left wondering what happened. That's how I really felt about this drama...Sho and Chisato were finally moving forward! And it ended without a real confession from either of them! WHY!?!

Look at this!---------------------v
This would have been a perfect romance! I mean he had experience and she was like a guppy...He could teach her what love is! If not the others could! I mean it wasn't like there was a lot of love lost in that house. I mean Yusuke loved her and the fifth son loved her ( Why Can I never remember his name!!!!) This is just a plain pain in the but....This is why I like longer dramas that involve romance...or a movie. A movie is fine but dramas that are romance and comedy tend to take more towards the comedy than romance.

Anyways there were a few plot holes...Some really horrible acting....and some roundabout and predictable scenes. But for something just to watch and laugh with. This is a good drama to do so with. It's got cute guys/girls, family, feuding, some treasure hunting and not enough romance between Sho and Chisato.

See you next time for DRW!
